I remember when I first started, I was so eager to do a good job that I agreed to help out with many different things. At first, it seemed like I was going above and beyond and everybody was happy. But before long, it wasn't seen as extra effort anymore. Instead, it just became the new expectation. Whenever they needed something, they'd ask for more, and my willingness to help out turned into the norm. It took me a long time to dig myself out of that hole. Make sure not to make the same mistake, because Optum will be happy to take from you but never give you anything in return.

Learn to work harder with less! That’s the Optum motto. A-s kissing gets you nowhere.
My boss is a robot and she needs to go! She expects us to work all weekends and on off hours because she does

You must be from senior management—clearly, your wisdom and experience are beyond us mere mortals. Thank you for descending from the ivory tower to remind us how little we understand. After all, it's not like we're the ones down here dealing with the actual work. Such profound insight. You're the one who thinks pizza parties are the cure for burnout, or that "just work smarter, not harder" magically solves a 60-hour workweek. Clearly, understanding what actually happens down here is overrated. Thanks for the reminder.
No offense intended, but that is a terrible attitude to have towards anything, and particularly your job.
Do the min it all pays the same. Work hard be the first to be let go
Someone gets1.5% merit increases, I got more than that twice in 14yrs, another dirty secret of UHG/Optum their raises su-k! The OP is right on, I experienced exactly the same, but after 10yrs you learn that the crisis management and constant task urgency was mostly due to unskilled project management and unskilled engineering management!
Work around the clock and you MIGHT get 2.5% merit instead of 1.5%.
