Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Rumoured 10% in Hybrid Cloud

Word is 200+ people in Hybrid Cloud group alone, about 10%. Should be hearing within a couple of weeks.

Tonio, "We are becoming a networking company at the core". Combine that with the Greenlake word-salad messaging, translate it, and you get HPE's clear positioning:

"We ship computers and switches to companies that are afraid of the cloud".

It’s worth noting that Hybrid Cloud, which includes GL Platform, is not all of GreenLake. There is a private cloud org, which includes PCE that is also Greenlake. My guess is that with JUniper onboarding with a FedRamp certified platform, it will become the GLP and other services will onboard to that as opposed to GLP. Speculation on my part but it would be consistent with this many layoffs.

You mean Greenlake is not the savior of the company?
They pushed that garbage like it was the 2nd coming.

+1 to @ddp+1u. Many people I know in storage group are hoping they're on that list!

90% of our team in Bristol would be more than happy to go.
