Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

When do you think that Boeing will start posting jobs?

Or will they need to fill them?

Boeing can't post jobs of striking workers, that would be a violation of union labor laws. Besides if they could they would have already. I doubt they'd be able to find nearly enough people to hire, and they would take forever to train so not really worth it

It's actually not a bad question as mentioned above. If the negotiations are not moving, airplanes still need to be built. Boeing can post the positions knowing the strikers will be immediately applying as they soon recognize outside of boeing no one is willing to pay them half of what boeing was paying. Good luck

There will be layoffs after contract is signed for a yr or two. We’re not going up in rate anytime soon we just don’t have the knowledge or workforce anymore. Till they start paying better to hire competent workers. It happens after every contract. Think Boeing thought hiring all the new people would be enough to pass contract. Obviously that didn’t work. Oops!! Most will never be hired again. Seen it multiple times in the past. Way to many problems need to be fixed before any rate hike going to happen. We were lucky to be getting out 21 planes a month as it was. No need for so many people until the manufacturing gets sorted out. Just my experience in the 34 yrs here. Always been the Boeing way!! IMHO. Good luck to all.

Oh they’ll start posting jobs when this is all done & said. The jobs will be posted in SC, Boeing can’t afford to operate in these liberal states WA & OR. They’ll eventually give yalls what you want on that contract. To only pack up & leave yall hanging & jobless.

Why would they be looking to post jobs ??? There's a strike going on, there's a hiring freeze, and they are furloughing people to cut costs. Your question makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
