Thread regarding VMware layoffs

VMware Japan was inspected in Japan for violation of the Antimonopoly Law.

According to the news, BC is also under investigation. I wish they would look into it worldwide.

Ishiba triggered a scare in the Nikkei. Down almost 5% today. The reverse carry trade that is going on for more than 40 years is bound to unwind. Japan being forced to maintain negative interest rates to fund the global economies is not fair. The people will slowly revolt.

People are actively setting fire to the platform they are standing on. This is the way. Burning platform from Nokia.

You know things are bad when even current emoloyees rejoice reading about their own company landing in hot waters over law or lost customers

Standard US empire monopolies looting the world. Those who work in these monopolies are enjoying the fruits. The tech monopolies that are looting the world are all keeping this empire rich. Some of these monopolies are being shared with China now.

the giant corp has compelled customers to purchase unnecessary software bundled with other products

EU did some investigation and got some relief for their EU champion companies. Japan will get some relief too. Only smaller customers will be squeezed.

This is real capitalism.

Kishida is already gone because he caused a big scare with a big stock market crash in the US in August. Japanese should be careful not to trigger the deep state too much.

The forum comments following these news stories on the Japanese sites do not paint a pretty picture of Broadcom's reputation there. The gist of the comments is that Broadcom has a history of doing this, and everyone saw it coming, the customers are scrambling to get off of the vmware software stack, and everyone else should do the same because this is just the start.

So, same-old, same-old.

And do what? The damage is already done. Innovation died. Brain drain completed. Customers started looking alternatives, if they haven’t moved on. Any world wide invention at this time will do no good other then a 🖕to The Hock.
