Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Has to be poetic justice

Not too long ago all the pro-hybrids here were gleeful in thinking that would somehow save them.

now Dell is going to renege yet another time forcing all hybrids to 5 days.
enjoy those cramp dirty shared cubes and offices.

but what awaits us remotes? bahahahaha

yep this is the way. There will be no remotes in dell except for exceptions at svp level. There will be an email in the next few weeks saying that remote is gone and everyone within a 50 mile radius will be on site 5 days a week and also that anyone over that 50 miles will be given a certain amount of time to relocate or else leave

“Remotes” are going to be a thing of the past. No more hybrid or remote. Everyone RTO in January. If you don’t, you’re fired. No severance, no unemployment, nada.

The 3 day RTO must not have yielded enough attrition, so now they are going full Amazon.

Sh-t, I’m too close to an office. I just want to be laid off and get severance now honestly

^^^^ this is exactly what’s going to happen. I’ve seen the email and it says those who aren’t close to a Dell office more info coming soon. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist given this company’s pattern of doing things.

I believe remotes are going to be the targets for Oct layoffs

What about remotes close to an office, are they going to be changed to hybrid

remotes are likely getting the "move or else" treatment with a deadline by the first of the year. wouldn't be surprised, anyway.
