Are you an id--t or just can't read!? Why end every sentence with! As if that is an argument. Clown behavior.

You entirely missed the point of Twitter. The argument wasn't whether they are successful. The point made was that 75% of the heads were cut and the companies service stayed up. Don't conflate the strategy issues with the operating efficiency.

The brain rot is real! Someone actually thinks using Twitter as an example of success! Fu--ing LOL!

If some id--ts buy the company it won't take them long to realize what a pile of s**t they stepped into. ..and then the layoffs and sell offs will begin.
That will really be a party to watch.

@1jpp+1uHaxJl0 LOL no they aren’t! By no metric is Twitter doing well compared to past earnings or users. Revenue down 84% - user numbers trending down, down, down. AI generated garbage and po-nbots are running rampant. Musk’s acquisition is the perfect example of how a cult of personality is exactly what should be avoided.

It's more than 15,000 for sure especially after this quarter's earnings, but it's more likely 20,000 to 30,000, which is still enormous. Enough layoffs to destroy any city and raise local unemployment to 50%

Twitter cut 75% of their headcount and they are doing just fine. Elon was asked how is it possible to cut that many heads. His response: 'As it turns out, you don't need as many people to run a company as you think'.

Before you wet yourself, yes it is true Intel is a hardware company and they actually build something, but still look around Intel campuses and you can find redundancy and useless workers everywhere you look.

Laying off that many would cripple the company, which is counterproductive. They might do it in stages as they figure out how to automate many positions with AI, but it would happen over years.

@1npk

Agreed. They need to take a good hard unbiased look at those 10 or so. Do they really deserve their jobs/roles? He-l did they even really deserve to get promoted in first place? How has their performance actually been. And axe them. Their bloated huge undeserved salaries could potentially save 10s of others on the chopping block who are more deserving to stay

Just layoff the 10 most id--ts leaders from the last 3 or 4 years.

You may as well go straight to Chapter 7 at that point...

It doesn’t make sense to keep paying folks and ISP them later on. Intel will let go as many as people as needed now, but still the company running. Getting the folks off the books will make next quarters results better

60k is too many … yes , more will come , but it will depend on divests , foundry split etc. I think the product groups will rightsize down to a much smaller org over the next 2-3 years though. Glad I’m out.

That's about what it would take to bring the company equal to most others in the industry. The problem is Intel will reduce too many workers while keeping too many managers, making its problems even worse.

You are right 15% layoffs is just the beginning, losses of the following quarters will cause at least another 15% layoffs. Intel is a tombstone in a cemetery.

Smart ones took VSP, no more money for next rounds of layoffs
