Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

TSMC up and running in Arizona

Soon they will have the latest N3 node in production and over time, even get N2 and beyond. There is a remote possibility that China may attack Taiwan, but the likelihood of that is low. So does Intel Foundry really matter?

It is setup there just in case Intel 18A failure as predicted awhile back so people don’t have to fly to back and forth to Taiwan. Make sense?

TSMC is expensive because of its near monopoly and current difficulties keeping up with demand. Customers would absolutely welcome feasible alternatives. Intel just isn't there
