There’s been a lot of rumors about a big round of layoffs coming in October. Based on what people are reporting, and the fact that two of my colleagues were let go yesterday, I assume the dreaded round already started. Do we have a faintest clue who’s being affected the most? Are any areas safe?

Does any know how many people were laid off at MedTech total? I know teams affected in Depuy, Ethicon & Vision but not the total numbers
I was laid off today. And heard there were a bunch of others being laid off too due to “restructuring”. I had interviews lined up for other positions previously, so hoping to get one of those, the severance that was offered was pathetic. Good luck out there, it’s brutal.

Layoffs impacted our department this week. Entire team gone.
I work in Research and Development and everyone except five of us, all over forty, were mapped to new roles.
I heard the layoffs affect multiple functions, including Quality. I know of a few in Medtech this past week, not many (yet). However, a leader communicated this week that layoffs are occurring but did not comment on the extent, but they seemed concerned.

Yes, it’s true. Layoffs at JNJ over 1000 people The entire CVM business including sales force got let go.
What department is laying off? I am in R&D and we had layoffs a couple of months ago.
