Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Phase 1 set in motion with Aruba merge into Sales. Marketing next.

As reported by CNN yesterday “Hewlett Packard Enterprise has announced it’s combining the @HPE_Aruba_NETW channel networking team into its @HPE global sales organization effective Nov. 1 in a move that paves the way for an all-out edge to cloud global networking sales offensive.”

They are changing Aruba Networks to HPE networking.
Juniper Networks is set to be rolled into the same HPE networking. They are retaining some talent for a transition period but ultimately Field and Corporate Marketing are the next teams to be massively cut between close (Oct) and employee day 1. Leaders have been asked to provide information designed to merge tech stacks and remove redundancy quickly as Juniper Networks will cease to exist. They have no need for multiple teams of marketing campaign managers, brand creative teams, website teams and event teams. This will all be taken care of at the corporate level in HPE. Field will be merged and reduced. I’ve been told up to 80% of the team will be gone within 12 months.

JE is nowhere in sight for these conversations. She is traveling elsewhere for CMO summits and interviews, networking for her next role elsewhere.

Correct. At the same time JNPR has not met their financial targets for 8 straight quarters. That works out to 40% of those fire years

Big accomplishments under RR in the last 5 years:

  • Mist Acquisition
  • Shifting the business to be a major Enterprise Wired & Wireless player
  • Acquired at a 40% premium to market cap

I am sure Juniper could've done better in many areas, but I'd say he's been at least moderately successful.

I keep wondering why RR is going to lead the combined Aruba and JNPR network teams. If he were that talented, he would have done something for JNPR in the last 8-10 years of his role as the CEO.

|"and the website lead remains to be on leave (since last three months). No body seems to care, they are passing time."|

Surely not lead as in a leader. By lead you mean:

lead (noun, SUBSTANCE)
a chemical element that is a very heavy, soft, dark grey, poisonous metal

An element that literally sinks things in water. Lastly, there's a significant difference between taking a leave and simply not showing up because you've run out of excuses and people to blame.

JE is a plastic CMO, saw her in the marketing meeting today, just smiling and looking clueless. These brand and demand leader putting under achieved meeting numbers as success and the website lead remains to be on leave (since last three months).
No body seems to care, they are passing time. At the end they will take severance packages and convert their shares and move on.
The mid level employees who don't have shares will suffer.
RR and JL sold the company and employees and made millions. what a shame!

|Also heard that several of the good marketing leaders have been put on administrative leave or garden leave so they can be terminated before “golden handshake” contracts previously given can be nulled. Saving every dime everywhere.

Who? I don't see any Out of Office notices on people...

One of the many questionable hires by ML. That was a diversity fueled change.

JE has single handedly destroyed Juniper marketing. Have you ever heard her speak? It's like a constant screech!
