Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

So 20% headcount reduction in October is still on the table?

Even though no one really knows what will become of Intel? Regarding the ideas that it may have been the plan all along to ruin Intel and sell it off - c’mon guys, that would require the level of competence and strategic thinking I haven’t seen in decades. Current situation is rather the outcome of stale corporate culture focused on cash extraction, and the stale US corporate leadership that protects their own and moves from company to company collecting golden parachutes and leaving ruin behind. Nobody really thinks or cares about the future of companies, their employees and clients. It’s all just a cash grab scheme.

When Intel drops to 60,000 employees we can call it a lean mean fighting machine...

unless of course the revenue slide continues, in which case we will call the situation hopeless.
