I get the fear of unemployment and everything…. But seriously the psychological warfare these toxic leaders subject you too on a daily basis; the gaslighting; the insults; the fear experienced everyday— totally not worth it. It’s like telling a survivor of domestic abuse who is free—“well honey you should go back because it’s better than being hungry and homeless”— get the f outta here with this sh-t.
Was also laid off 4/18. My old dept just hired new people internally. Manager who did the layoffs told new hires in a team meeting how great the dept is and how there is so much room for growth!! Complete BS!
only way i'd willingly come back to this cr-ppy org is for 30% pay raise. witty and crew can go party with diddy for all i care.
Anyone telling this person to not come back clearly have not been unemployed in this current economy. It’s absolutely awful. Some of us have applied for hundreds of jobs with the help of professional assistance and are still struggling to even get interviews. There is so much competition that companies are being incredibly selective on who they choose. Coming back may not be ideal to everyone, but to those people who risk losing unemployment and/or who have run out of severance an offer like that is appealing. Not everyone was in awful departments with toxic conditions.
Dum bass.
Ask for at least 25% over what you were making. Will you get laid off again? Almost certainly. Collect that FU money, then move on to the next job.
Don't do it!! You're finally free!! Run...Don 't walk...and don't look back!
i would charge 10% rehire fee what you got to lose and 100% remote
Did you ask for more money to come back?
