Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Given what’s coming in October and beyond

I’ve been looking for another job. And it really doesn’t look good, as many others have been saying. Anyone who has had a good experience? Any advice or recommendation? I really don’t want to end up biting my nails through transition. I wouldn’t mind staying here if that will be possible, but I really want to have some other options lined up.

Everyone at Juniper should have been looking for the last 9 months. Leaving things to chance in this job market is not a good decision.

I was one of the ones laid off at the start of the year and the job market was terrible for tech then. I think it might be worse now, especially with the Cisco cuts. Getting your resume looked at is a challenge. Networking is key here. Get people to get your resume in front of hiring managers. Be open to non-remote jobs if you can make that work. Everyone is going for remote, from around the world. Competition is stiffer for those. Consider a pivot into a role or industry that might not be so crowded.
