Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

It’s all Perspective!

At what point will management look at things from the bottom up? How much does operations have to suffer to make efficiencies and quotas look good on paper? I hate to take on the mindset of go with the flow until it fails and hope they can see the gaps but they are forcing our hands! I hope all these new energy projects can power a sinking ship until it hits the beach instead of letting it go down offshore! I would say we can run on nuclear but we can’t seem to keep up with our sources!

GE was the best thing to happen to BH. Good, strong leadership sorted that mess out and offloaded the deadwood and brought in a hundred MBAs to steer that sinking ship

Came on here to see what’s up with BH.

I’m a customer of BH and will tell you that I am done with their chemical division. I was just about to give them a 2nd chance based on their new Western service delivery mgr (great vision, receptive to feedback, had me believing in BH again after they lost our business a couple of years ago. Now he’s gone? He-l he just took over our area 6 mos ago.. I can’t keep getting new people every 6 months and pretend I have faith that you know what you’re doing running a business.

Contrary to popular beliefs, Management does look at things from the bottom up.

The issue is the "bottom" that they are looking up is the head up their collective a$$e$, which is severely clouding their ability to lead and deliver the results demanded by both the employees and investors.

Ironic they keep doing hse stand downs and saying us minions are all unsafe and need to be better.. yet we struggle to keep our head above water, notion of improving anything is out the door - all we can do is battle on with the minimal resources we have. Disaster waiting to happen - but it’s all our fault
