The Managers selected who was getting let go. It starts Friday
They made their costing cutting message during the last earning call saying they identified $500MM by end of the year. as for share price being up...its up +.21% over the past five days according to a chart on Yahoo Finance.
I have a meeting with my boss this week. We meet every week but this must mean something different. He is wearing a red shirt so i think that is a sign BIG CHANGES ARE COMING.
I also noticed he was in the office early. He is always early but this feels different.
But what made me really suspicious is that we have a team meeting every week. This week he changed the time from 9:00 to 10:00 am due to a conflict. He has changed meetings many times before but i know this time it’s because big changes are coming.
I hope you all cash in your value in action points asap and continue to stress about layoffs all the time. I mean really worry about it!
Stock price looks like someone is acting on inside info. Usually get a bump with "cutting costs" announcements.
Service Appreciation Week Leader Info Session meeting moved from Tuesday 10/1/2024 to Monday 9/30/24 (Session 1).. Something is definitely brewing. Call Volume is way down in my area.
There is “notifying manager” training tomorrow and Friday. Seems like a credible sign to me!
Is it just me, or have people been posting about pending layoffs coming soon for 6 months now? I’m not saying I don’t believe it, because we just had some sudden org changes and teams shifting to different areas and tracking our work efficiency in insane ways this past summer. Just curious if there is credibility to these rumors.
Google how companies get around warn notices.
Warn notices will be filed the day you are fired. That’s why your last day will be the end of November. To cover warm laws.
I always go to the warn notices - they have to be filed and you can just google - warn notices for your state and if you don't think - then go back a year and see if there were any listed.
Why no communications, we knew last year it was coming. But yea do the survey!
There are no warn notices so..
HR is meeting with notifying leaders later this week to tell them how to give the notices to people being laid off. It’s happening next week.

Managers are being very tight lipped, I suspect they don't know specifically who is getting let go yet. My manager was kind of short and said to expect major changes.
Kind of dreading the next several days, constantly on the lookout for a random meeting invite for a "Business Update"
Survived a few previous layoffs but genuinely uncomfortable on this one.
