Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

New deal doesnt come close to what we want

We want the pension back plus 40%, I dont see why people will even think about agreeing to this.

THINK ???? Forget about how much union leadership makes and THINK about the 10's of millions that they are throwing at Calhoun every year in bonuses for sitting around with his thumb up his patootie doing nothing !!! Then multiply that by the inflated number of VP's and Execs they have doing the same. If YOU want to know where they can fund the pension from look no further !!! Now THEY like their annual bonuses too much and will never loosen their stranglehold so I agree that the Pension just ain't coming back. But let's call it fairly shall we instead of like a boeing management wannabe ???

Think about how much the union leadership gets in dues every month.
Let's have a union funded pension. Historically they pay much more than a company pension.
But "oh no, the union leaders don't want to reduce their fat paychecks"!

Onion complaining about lack of negotiation. Doesn't even know what negotiation means.

Negotiation is NOT telling Boeing what you want and them giving it to you.

The onion going in position was pension and 40%. That means the negotiations go DOWN from there.

If you wanted 40% and pensions, you should have started higher.

You're the ones walking the picket lines and have everything on the line and as such pay no attention to yapping dogs !!!!

If you honestly think pensions are coming back, you are delusional.

It’s a good contract. Sign it so we can all avoid layoffs. Boeing cannot afford this.

You all just want us to get back to work to save your own jobs. Maybe it is you we should be getting rid of.

You ain't getting no pension back. Get back to work you b-m. You ain't gonna have a job when the next contract comes. You think Boeing will let this happen to them again? Kiss your jobs goodbye if you don't take this deal. These boomers are going to make it to where these young employees won't have jobs in the future.

The company did not talk with the IAM on the new contract. The surprise announcement was released to the media, without IAM knowledge. Since the company did not negotiate in good faith, there will be no vote.
