People who are mentioning layoffs

To the people who mentioned layoffs are coming before Paul talked about “refinements”… Where did you get your intel? Can you expand? What departments?

If there is a layoff, will we still have a HALLOWEEN Party? I am dressing up as a white collar criminal who looks like he's melting from using substances found in Miami.

SE Directors serve no purpose. They attend meetings, which SE managers can easily do. They are not partner facing. They make bank. And really just chill all the time

Nobody ain't getting laid off. It's all transitory just like the inflation and economy as mentioned by Yellen at the Federal Reserve. What will happen this company gonna be gone permanently etched in history as failure such as Sears and Kmart. Greta news is, you will get 6 months Unemployment Insurance and then you will be not counted as part of the Labor Force Participation Rate. So no layoffs, just sadness and no money, no problems. Stop blaming the current HR or C Suite. Don't blame Paul or Pumpkin Spice or yourselves. Blame the former C Suite.

Naturally. No layoffs or departments going in be impacted. If so a rat would’ve spilled the beans

Truly our job was a cake walk. If it weren’t for meetings internally, I would maybe work 15 hours a week…and that’s a big maybe.

I enjoyed the $$$ compared to how much I worked.

I can easily admit that ACs do more.

PLEASE STOP PUTTING EACH OTHER DOWN!
The reality is that there will always be some people that don’t pull their weight, some that will just do the job , and some that will go above and beyond of the job. But at the end of the day, it is not your Buisness. Just worry about your own performance. I can’t understand the need of some posters to group all people together and call them lazy.
Have some respect for each other.

@2kmt+1uEH4z3k no. Better says that they do the jobs better than Americans. This is the problem with outsourcing, you're going to pay a fraction of the cost but you're quality will decrease substantially.

@1gml+1uEH4z3k or South Africa, where they love to point fingers at "lazy americans" while clocking in 80 hours with nothing to show for it. 2U leadership loves outputs, not outcomes, which is why they think SA is a better resourcing choice.

“If you are worried bc you are lazy and not producing.“

This isn’t a complete sentence, but I wouldn’t expect anything else from a C-Suite that didn’t go to college ¯_(ツ)_/¯

If you are worried bc you are lazy and not producing. Beware. It’s a new 2U. Watching TV, milking your responsibilities is out the window. Welcome to private ownership freeloaders

Of course they are coming. That is why we are all on this website. We are trying to find out when/what departments and more info on the intel and connect since we get no details from management.

Oh babe. They are coming. Be ready. The investors/owners will want their money plus more paid back quickly. It’s going to su-k, just be prepared. Especially if you are overpaid for the role and results you bring in.

Ok
Layoffs likely in the next month
2U won’t exist in a year
Sourced with public financial filings and internal rumors
Does that help

Back to the original post? Which was asking for word about the layoffs… not for us to all be arguing in the comments. We didn’t make the decisions that brought the company to where it is……… But some people in these chats are still here and want to know if they are going to have jobs and prepare if they aren’t. Can someone give any word on layoffs or intel .

I have to agree with the previous poster. Why would you want to put each other down? Or is this really in hopes that HR sees these post and say oh, yes, let these employee get laid off first because it was mentioned in the layoff sight that they didn’t work hard enough?! Let’s get mature here and post things that will help your fellow coworker navigate through this tough period at 2U.

I love how SSA act like their job is brain surgery. Majority of partnerships offer faculty advisors. If you are a student who are you reaching out to faculty or a bankrupt 3rd party or cannot answer any questions?

Student Engagement is flooded at the Sr IC level of ICs who do not pull their weight. This goes for SSA and AC. So much room to cut here

Aww come on all executive A/Cs can’t be all bad or lazy. I don’t believe it. I work with 2 on our team and they are constantly working hard and going above and beyond for the team. The senior a/ca do a lot less. The exec a/c may be making as much but they also have to bring in 20% more admits than anyone else. All their goals are 20% higher. So stop complaining put your head down, work hard and stay in your own lane!

The executive ACs on my program are some of the most laziest people I know. I work in student success and their shortcomings trickle down to us. Ask an exec how much they get paid? If they're so "skilled" at consultative sales, why don't they take a commission based role elsewhere?

How many executive A/Cs would it take to pay one Paul? Who do you think is creating more value for the company?

Executive ACs means nepotism and favoritism. The best workers were laid off or quit a decade ago. These Executive ACs can be let go a replaced with 3 younger and eager employees straight out of college. They are only there to meet some type of quota.

Post ID: @exn+1uEH4z3k What do you have against executive a/cs?! These are the most loyal hardest working long term employees that 2U have! They have lasted this long because they have worked hard and brought in revenue.
