If you are being laid off, can you elect to be paid severance with regular paychecks INSTEAD of a lump sum?
When you get paid all at once they take out a larger % of taxes. And I want to prevent that.
Has anyone had success asking for this?

Paramount Global doesn’t pay lump sum severance. In this round, you would be lucky to get the offset. August and September victims didn’t always get that.
I was laid off in August. Confirming it was not lump sum, but a regular paycheck like the previous poster stated.
I can't say for certain, but when I've been laid off at prior companies, I was given a choice.
