Ageism

To older employees who felt disrespected, targeted, and sidelined over the last few years, just remember you are worth more than you know. In the words of Sully Sullenberger (Miracle on the Hudson) who saves 155 lives:

“One way of looking at this might be that for 42 years, I’ve been making small, regular deposits in this bank of experience, education, and training. And on January 15, 2009, the balance was sufficient so that I could make a very large withdrawal.”

One day your experience will be needed where and when it really counts. Don’t be afraid and don’t let others diminish you.

I’ve seen it many times. It’s all part of their plan to intimidate you and jack with you so you will quit

Sully didn't have the option to be retired-in-place.
But I do.

Sully
What a hero.
I'll never forget watching that landing live.

Sorry I got off track slightly.

Dear downvoter, were you trying to send a message that positivity is overrated, or did you just lose a bet with a grumpy cat? Curious minds want to know!
