The poster is right they terminated people have until Monday this time.
Post from TheLayoff.com Why you say so ? In August layoff I know they were kept active in system till Friday evening and removed access by Friday evening . In successfactor active till end of Warn act period to get them paid .
@2pmo+1uCGKqJB You are wrong. It’s not Friday this time round.
Let’s be clear. The “last working day” means nothing. No one is expected to work/wrap things up after being laid off, nor should they.
The last post is incorrect. The last working day will be Monday, September 30.
Friday will be the last working day .
If someone has a lay off on Tuesday is that technically a last work day or will there be a day or so to wrap out any projects?
To the one poster who insists that this is the opportunity to fire whites, I just don’t see it. My dept lost quite a few of its minorities — even some on parental leave. If the majority of your team is white, it follows that a lot of your cuts will involve white folks. I saw a lot of very qualified folks (all races) fired, so it’s very much a money thing and not reflective of whether you are a good worker. I will say that covering for the fired folks is no fun and the company doesn’t seem to acknowledge that some functions are totally gone and they can’t just expect same day solutions anymore. It’s super stressful and makes me think things they are hoping more of us who remain quit — so they can outsource our jobs
it started east coast time then west coast
remote it was based on your scheduled work hours
i dont know when the nick all employees call was .. maybe someone can share ..
Tuesday am time is east coast? Or west coast? If remote, based on what your work address is in your corporate profile?
Yes Tuesday AM
Expect white male layoffs which will automatically increase the amount of minorities on the books . Keep eye on how many of the 20% layoffs are white
It’ll be like the Nick ones last month - town hall at 11:30am ET then emails starting at 12pm ET with an email saying either you’re impacted or not. Cold and awful with no humanity.
“ The invites will be sent out by 830AM and meetings will start around 9”
Tuesday AM, right?
so according to the poster a few down, the exits from streaming are so large its being done by a conference call is that for all of streaming? hopefully its first thing in the am . anyone have more details ..
Thanks for the heads up!
The invites will be sent out by 830AM and meetings will start around 9
What time do they usually setup the meetings?
A lot of layoffs are retaliatory - so if you made previous complaints get a lawyer. Also look for discriminatory layoffs. Reverse racism . Watch out -;.white males over 40. Start forum here if you feel discriminated
They will try and track you down in the phone even if you are off. Only a handful happened on Wednesday last time.
if someone is out of office Tuesday - pre scheduled. will they do this Monday or later in the week.
Curious is anyone knows how marketing is managing Tuesday - mass email or meetings?
If HR is unlikely to get back to you, how does one re-negotiate their severance pkg if needed to do so?
It's not division based it's based on the size of people exiting an ORG.
Any chance you can share the division doing one ones thank you
You are wrong. I am doing all of mine in one one-on-one meetings on Tuesday morning and sending invites out just prior. Just because your area of the company is doing it one way don't make assumptions for others. The person that posted below from streaming is correct in what is happening for Streaming. Some orgs are too big and yes it will be done via a conference call.
@bqj+1uCGKqJB is correct! It will be done by automated email on Tuesday. There will be no one-on-one meeting with your manager unless they choose to speak to you after emails have been sent out [HR rule]. There will be no follow-up from HR unless you reach out to them, and even then, they have been cut, so they are unlikely to get back to you.
Nick layoffs in August were all done by email due to the mass amount. There was a meeting in the morning that explained you’d either be getting an email stating if you were staying, or if you had been let go. If it sounds torturous and inhumane, you’re right. With the rumored amount of layoffs expected, I would assume it won’t be handled much differently.
Spoiler alert: Layoffs
If you are being let go expect a meeting invite from the VP or SVP of your area Tuesday morning. They are doing the reductions back to back in most cases. Then later in the day they will hold team meetings with who is left. I heard because Paramount is doing so many reductions HR will not be on the call. You will receive an email link with your severance details after the call with your leader. I heard this for streaming tech so I suspect it's the same around the company.
According to JW and JP, DT says MJ and KD are going to meet with SH and HB to decide the fate of the divisions
What else . Around 1000 out of 20000 employees will be shown door .
While 19,000 among us can finally sense the relief for some months ahead , 1000 among us will be left to fight to figure out something in this tough Job market
