xerox employees being offloaded to hcl. How long do they have until HCL fires them?

@26v8 xerox smarter than most if they were able to get out of doing business with HCL that quickly
Lexmark is currently recruiting people in The Philippines to give support to Xerox, they take most of what HCL currently has. This is not a surprise, I think we all saw this coming.
@17nf sure but how many of your coworkers?
Very few stick around. HCL does not want onshore employees
I went from IBM to HCL in 2016… still going strong!
They have a year; best to start prepping for new roles during that time.
Depends on the terms of the contract but the important thing is to know that your job is not safe and will be moved offshore as soon as HCL is allowed to do so.
Start looking now. Market is tough
6 Months at least. IF... HCL can't do your job or learn it, you will get shipped back to Xerox
How many of you effected? Sorry to hear more folks are getting rebadged. Most of what you hear is to keep you around to help train offshore. They won't keep you any longer than they have too
Whatever the timeframe listed as job protected when transferring. When HCL tell you their retention rate is 97% amongst transferred employees, ask them what is the % in year 2 after retention bonuses were paid out…..
One year maybe.
