We had a company meeting on Tuesday. The CTO said they are merging teams in America and Europe. I’m a manager. They said similiar positions will be eliminated by January so they don’t have to pay bonuses in March. The Amsterdam teams will keep their jobs because they are cheaper than their American counterparts. All positions will be backfilled near shore in South America like in Colombia. Start looking now!!

Was working second shift at Protolabs in Nashua as a temp.
Left work on Friday with no issues. Monday we get a call that says all second shift Temps are no longer needed due to lack of work. I was told it would be around 4 weeks, but we were never called back.
Texted supervisor but he ghosted me. Too bad, I liked the job and I did a lot of work.
Take it easy. They only laid off 3 full time employees and a dozen contractors. That's out of 150 tech employees. The Amsterdam teams will be laid off since they can't justify their salaries anymore since the merger has not worked and hubs is failing. And as much as Oleg wants to fire more Americans, he can't because you have to be US citizen to hold a protolabs job. More American companies should have this policy and not hire immigrants. Vote Trump 2024 if you want to keep your jobs
Dont listen to this benchode. We have super solid plan to upgrade. Everyone happy with what we are doing. It is easy to move to cloud. But you just have to put in 100 hours a week for 4 years. No OT though. We pay you to work so no whining. Your familys can see you for a few minutes a week. That plenty. If you no happy, then people in argentina will be happy to help upgrade…but what will YOU do?
