Can't believe the government has tolerated the inoperable Boeing tanker for this long and hasn't transitioned to the far more capable Airbus tanker. Maybe they are waiting for a low cost COMAC tanker to become available? The Boeing tanker was supposed to be fully operational in 2017...it is now 2024... Sure glad we are not in a war having to depend on Boeing for anything...

Using F-15E’s and Tankers for Presidential Temporary Flight Restriction cover is a waste of taxpayers money. A Piper Archer is sufficient to use. Those F-15E’s would struggle intercepting a Cessna 172. The F-15’s would have to fly at or below minimum maneuvering speed to intercept a Cessna flying at 110 kts that the F-15’s would be on the edge of stalling. A fighter jet is a d-mb idea to use to overtake general aviation planes.
