I had the misfortune to have been hired at the beginning of the year to be layed off just before the end of my probation period (Last in, First out). Why? Because the company is run by clowns. How can this company not capitalize on the current VMware situation and get itself in such troubles to the extent that they need to reduce Opex and the stock price suffers? Further, this is not an Enterprise Grade company: how can you make your headcount planning in the beginning of the year to then realize 5 month later that you need to reduce headcount again. There is no strategy or no ability to execute on this strategy. If you come across a Nutanix Job listing, aviod it like the plague!!!

I was there six years and I agree, the company is run by some serious clowns.
They laid off a lot of engineers over 40 in July and this week they laid off a ton more in the same age bracket.
The funny thing is the more they lay off the worse their sales numbers get, but the d-mbos in the sales org have not figured out it's not the sales folks who sell that stuff, it's the SE's!!
OP go join a circus instead - seem like a clown yourself with a lotta extra Free Time
