When getting a job here was a reason for celebration? How did we go from there to this joke of a company? Intel is now hated by the majority of its employees and is often the last on the list for top talent looking for new jobs. Nobody wants to work here anymore.

Not anymore since many many years ago.
I've been interviewing candidates for years and I can tell you that the qualifications of candidates are getting lower and lower.
Top universities candidates are very rare.
The are many factors, but BK was the major contributor.
I'm always amused to see the volume of Intel logo stuff at local thrift stores.
@jfq+1u9og9qZ, same here, LOL. I throw away my entire Intel folder and all my awards. Sometimes I find an old Intel badge in my drawer, and it freaks me out and it goes into the garbage. I am survivor of BK era.
TBH I have quite a few Intel logo water bottles. I used to be so proud to carry them around, on hikes or just quick trips around town. Now I'm embarrassed to be seen with them, feels like the stench of failure is on me. So I use them at home now. Forget about wearing any Intel logo clothing too.
