After decades of working for this once magnificent company, I signed up for ERP. It was a tough decision to make. Expecting exit on Sep 30. Wishing Intel the very best.

Reminds me of the old timey phrase -
Trying to milk a dead cow.

ER can not be denied. It can only have a the last day of work delayed for critical work
Which I assume means lines down
Folks 90% of all VSP is to be rejected, ER will see 40% being blocked , it’s been hashed out as we speak , ISP is what is really being prepped for and that will be a savage cut - carrying too many
No - none of my team about 40+ took it as far as I know. I asked them why they didn't want to take it as they did not have projects and/ or watching movies 🍿 at work...
All gave me the same answer - they'd like to keep milking the cow 🐮
Yup, I volunteered for VSP the day it opened. Just awaiting the confirmation email now 🤞
Damn right I took VSP. Pat and the ELT took a healthy company and crashed it. The same people cannot undo the damage.
Intel had a good run, now it’s time for it to die.
Intel is dead.
Moores law is dead
X86 needs to die
No. I agonized about the decision. But I am rollin the dice I will be lucky enough for ISP. My group should get hit hard and my last insights was not great. Ultimately, it was kind of hard to take the VSP when you did not have another job offer in hand and you think your odds of ISP are greater than 50%. I will be really depressed if I don't get ISP.
Yup, took ER like the other posters here. I don't see them offering this kind of package again next round. And mark my words - there WILL be a next round.
Yep. Enhanced retirement
Get out while there is still money.
Glad it wasn’t isp as my manager would have probably denied it.
No, I was already ISP'ed, LMAO. Thank goodness, it's over.
I ended up not volunteering, as no incentive to do so - highl let likely I’ll get let go , so may as well let it happen on the extended timeline. Talking to folks , a lot felt the same … retirees seem to be leaving in droves though
Yes for the enhanced retirement package
Yes. Stared into the depths of Intel’s soul the past three weeks… and didn’t see the signs of life I needed to click re-click on “No”. My fate is now in managament’s hands.
