Not everyone got a 60 day notice. Some are being kept 90 days. I am sure that is so we can train our replacement once they are chosen.
Managers just got notified in an email tonight who on their team is impacted in wave 1. Employee emails go out tomorrow after the all hands call.
That’s what H1B’s are for with companies like HCL. Your customer will have US based support by an Indian making a quarter of your wage in this country.
My customer's contract stipulates US base support, but I still have the feeling of impending doom
Management call update:
If you got an invite to the second call tomorrow at 11:30 ET you are impacted in wave 1 and will be laid off in 60 days. Rolling 90 day lay offs will occur forward. All rebadged employees will be gone by the end of 2025. Just heard it all live on the management call with VP SA and the HCL HR id--ts.
Check your HCL Outlook mail. We just got an invite for an All Hands Call on Thursday at 11 AM ET.
Kind of su-ks how everything is so vague and how this “partnership” is actually just a period where they su-k our knowledge and every drop of dignity we have. Remember , life doesnt end here.
End of next week sounds about right because that Sunday (Sep 1) is 60 days prior to 10/31. I just hope the provide the info to all 3 waives at the same time.
I asked my Director if anything is going on and she said 60 day notice letters are being sent out next week via email with a last day on payroll of Oct 31 for wave 1. There are 3 waves Oct, Dec, Mar.
Expecting emails. A company-wide announcement like that doesn't meet the WARN standards from what I've read.
