COMAC has been getting more orders than Boeing and is now selling airplanes outside of China. Airbus will be challenged to keep COMAC in check. Boeing most certainly won't. It has been well documented that Boeing couldn't create a workforce capable of successfully doing aerospace again for at least a decade.

iam751 will have negotiations in a very bad time for Boeing and global economy. Boeing will still be a company 100 years from now. Come on, splitting Boeing, really? There are only two commercial airplane manufacturers: Airbus and Boeing. Guess what, Airbus cannot satisfy the demand on its own. Nigher can Boeing. Thus, Boeing will exist for a while.

The problem with Boeing lie in the realm of globalization and diversity. Somehow, Boeing's management thinks that going cheaper abroad or even withing the US will result in the same quality. It is not. What Boeing saves on salaries, Boeing spends on prolonged schedules and lower quality.

I hope that the new guy will return Boeing to its former glory by stopping all the nonsense with globalization. Boeing is present in more than 100 countries. This is not sustainable in a long run.

I wish Boeings' execs will start to care about the company longevity, not about one-time bonuses....

Whatever sell-off options are contemplated at Boeing, you can be sure that the execs will do whatever maximizes their bank accounts.

Yeah, it is now apparent that the Boeing breakup is getting traction on multiple fronts.

During the breakup of Boeing, they will be offered two options:

Option 1. Merge its lackluster defense assets with Lockheed Martin.
This is for the physical assets only, there is no need nor desire
to incorporate Boeing’s engineering or management teams.
1A. Merge its lackluster commercial aircraft sector with Airbus.
Again; there is no need nor desire to incorporate Boeing’s engineering
or management teams.

Option 2. Selloff the aforementioned assets à la carte on the US
open market.

All other ancillary assets can remain with Boeing, as long as there is
No physical systems involved in flight, ever again.
Another restriction is, No Boeing Software will be allowed in any
in-flight operation anywhere in the world.
