Hearing lots of people let go on Thursday 8/22 in Pivotal/Tanzu units. Seems indiscriminate, lot of good talent let go.

@1ajl+1u91QwBM To give some context. The MF BU makes about 2.2 billion dollars a year, and has about 1350 employees. That is Hock's ideal BU. So you do the math.
There is no soul here and virtually zero effort from leadership to be actual leaders. What is most unfortunate is that we are in an environment that needs it every day.
All of hock’s cuts are about profitability, and surprise surprise - it’ll never be enough for that greedy monster.
They can cut it down to about 180 to keep the lights on - at least flickering.
Hold on to your hat!
Run rate I saw was $703M and 1,800 employees left. Focus now on top 500 accounts, that's it.
Shoot first aim later
It’s not large
The BU as a whole isnt making money so of course its indiscriminate.
Of course it is indiscriminate. Broadcom doesn’t give a sh-t about their employees. All about making $.
