At one point last year I realized that I felt like a hostage of Intel. I’ve been so afraid of losing my job that I completely lost perspective on my career, what’s good for me, what's reasonable pay, and on the reality of the situation. I decided to look elsewhere. Just looking for another job made me break from the spell. I stopped being anxious about losing a job, stopped investing myself over and beyond, stopped minding what’s going on. Dedication to job search and my interests paid off, and I’ve been offered a great opportunity after months of searching. Took it, and I’m leaving next week. Put yourself first, and the whole new world will open up. Good luck to all of you, and do just what’s in your own interest. Sc--w these companies.

There were roughly 125K Intel employees and there are are over 8 billion people on Earth. Do you really think that life lives and breathes over a job at Intel? Move on there is a whole world of opportunity out there. You deserve better but you have to work for it.
After 20 years I made that decision in 2020 because I saw politics and cronyism trumping meritocracy and ethics. I have doubled my compensation and on my worst days am still glad I made the decision to move to a place where I am appreciated.
Don't wonder if Intel will keep you. Wonder if you can do better. If you have guts, I promise you can.
