Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Employment verification

Is anyone else experiencing challenges with optimum when it comes to providing employment verification to another higher and company? I’ve been offered a position with another company and they are having difficulty verifying my employment at landmark/optum.

You can print out employment verification on company letter head through GSS. Steps are listed out on SharePoint. I perform the same actions and haven't had any issues.

I would question the credibility of the new company if they cannot figure this out on their own. Any legit company would have an account with an equifax product like theworknumber to find everything about you. HR incompetent or more likely too cheap. Who in this day and age would actually call a previous employer that could be spoofed easily.

I believe verification generally goes through the work number. You can register for an account and see your own history as well.

Worst case, send first and last paystubs (if you have them). Or a W2. Make sure you black out any sensitive info (like pay, etc). This is what has always worked for me when employment verification comes up.

Edit above post: Is anyone else experiencing challenges with Optum when it comes to providing employment verification to another hiring company? I’ve been offered a position with another company and they are having difficulty verifying my employment at landmark/optum. Holding up my start date with new company.
