I see some job postings is hiring actually happening? I think that can be a sign of weather we are expecting layoffs or not.

On the Aetna side I am seeing that jobs are posted for people getting promotions. Must be some HR policy. It has to be posted for a certain amount of days but its already going to a specific person.
Lots of internal postings are fake. They already know who will get the job (promotion) or have an external candidate they want. They just open it up to say they posted the opening.
@rne+1u8Fh1MQ - you don’t want to work for a team that recently lost three people anyways. Cuz that means that manager su-ks the ba--s!
im guessing the posters in this thread dont work in Aetna HCB. In the most recent Aetna town hall after Kane was let go, Karen specifically said theyre looking at "synergies" in roles and automation (corporate speak for job eliminations/layoffs)
Run away, far far away
Internal hiring here is a joke. I've had jobs pulled the day I was supposed to interview. I've sat in "under consideration" for months...what the fu-k does hr do all day?
I recently had an interview that was an approved and guaranteed backfill since the team had recently lost three team members.
The hiring manager said about me going to the next round and then I should hear back within within days.
When I didn’t hear. I reached out to the recruiter and she told me that the job disappeared off of her dashboard overnight.
She looked into it and asked her manager and was told it was closed by HR. Then reached out to the hiring manager to say thank you for the time and that if it opens back up, I’d love to continue the conversation.
His response was “I’m so sorry - I didn’t know it was closed out until you emailed me and I went and asked”.
I applied to jobs that were posted that same day and then were closed and not hiring overnight.
Jokes on CVS I’m also looking externally and my manager is worried I’ll get an external roll sooner than internal.
They post jobs that they don’t anticipate on filling. It’s happened for numerous jobs I’ve applied and interviewed for. They’ll say you’re “under consideration” indefinitely. Delays in hiring is a clear flag that layoffs are still on the table
I have had internal interviews…then hear nothing for months and system still says I candidate. Frustrating!
