Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

CPO can work remotely

While the rest of us, the cattle class are “encouraged “ to come onsite. I personally don’t mind going to the office. But there’s a big disconnect between executive management and the work force even for matters like RTO. Leading by example was lost long time ago. Entitlement is the order of the day.

@taw. If C-level executives have such talent and ability, why did we get such mediocre executives from other companies? BS, CS, DZ, CP,MR, RK are few of them.

Her Instagram. I think Elon Musk is doing a better job at recruiting tech talents.

@quj+1u87Ay8D Have you seen the expat impact from this announcement yet? Many assignments coming to an early close, currently under contradictory contract closure which may expose Intel to some legal vulnerabilities of a class action variety. Appears that Intel HR hasn't vetted some policy decisions with actual competent legal advice, or perhaps they feel its worth the legal risk for the $ saved. Talking about early close to contracts impacting a few hundred employees only.

But you are right, expat was the way to go, although even those seem to be coming to a rapid closure.

There is no comparison between the CPO and a common employee. C-level executives represent immense firepower of talent and ability. These are truly masters of the universe who will take their talents to competition in a heart beat if they are not given what they deserve. There is no comparison to the “cattle class”, who are typically commodity resources that are totally fungible.

Is this referring to some new policy or new announcement? Or is this just a complaint about the existing one?

@qbv+1u87Ay8D Who cares where she lives? Should Intel care where she lives? By that token, we should all be able to work from anywhere (which I agree with). The point, though, is that if any Joe Doe complaint that he lived too far, his manager would be up his a-s and would likely threat him to either relocate <100 miles OR quit… But because it is CPO, we will give her exceptions?!

Christi lives in like NJ - literally the furthest you can be from an Intel site
