Management has informed us to expect a big announcement tomorrow from the HCL FMO (Future Mode of Operation) Team regarding our future. No further details were provided, but expect the worst.

Its over.. The worst part was how sneaky HCLTECH and VZ have been to their employees since the start of the "merger".. From day 1 they lied about a lot of things. If employees could have sued big time just from all the lies received - but the two companies convinced the staff to signed contractual agreements to prevent lawsuits... this was just nasty..
At State Farm they targeted 25% for remaining rebadgers at year one. They didn't cut that far but we continually see folks let go each month now. It won't be long now and they will get to that number. Pretty much the ones left are holding it together.
The rebadge % they said they kept was for the first year only. During one of the calls before moving to HCLT a colleague asked what about after a year and we were told they don’t track that. We knew the. We were doomed.
Im headed to t-mobile today to dump 6 lines from verizon. Hope Verizon goes under and as for HCL, I hope they go under to. They are ki-ling relationships with customers that have taken decades to create. Verizon and HCL execs are getting big pay outs for this. Disgusting. We need stronger and more unions to prevent this.
I gave VZ 36 years and they dumped me to HCL. We were told we were safe and now we are getting laid off. I hate VZ and HCL. Heading to T Mobile tonight to move my 4 family phones away from VZ. As for HCL they can rot in h**l.
HCL is an absolute joke. They have told us nothing but lies this entire year. They are fudging customer numbers and holding out on credits. I for one can prove this. The bullsh-t they told us about retaining 96% of rebadged employees was nothing but lies. Everyone should move to T-Mobile. Verizon knew this was going to happen also so they are no better. Ruining people’s lives that have spent their entire careers being loyal.
I just got off the Manager call earlier. 2 calls tomorrow. 11 am et for everyone. 11:30 am et for those impacted in wave 1. Wave 1 off payroll dates are Nov 1, Dec 1, Jan 1. Wave 2 notification will happen in November with off payroll dates of Feb 1 and Mar 1. Any remaining employees after wave 2 will be impacted in rolling 90 day layoffs until all are off payroll by the end of 2025.
Thanks HCL and VZ!
MCI, MCIWorldcom, WorldCom, MCI, Verizon Business, Verizon, HCLTech...Looks like they finally got me
There are 2 meetings tomorrow for employees. First one is all hands call that appears all US employees got and right after is FMO planning meeting that only some employees got. Not sure is the second meeting is for the employees getting impacted by waive 1. BS that we have to theorize about everything.
They did not cancel the all hands. They cancelled giving the slide update with fake metrics on the all hands. There is an all managers meeting today and the all hands call is still on for tomorrow 8/29.
Isn't the US call still on your calendar? I think they canceled the regular ol monthly call
So they cancelled the call and sent out a slide deck that didn't tell us much in the way of our future employment. What the heck is going on?
Just got an invite for US only all hands call on Thursday. Not sure if we will get more answers or questions...... We will see!
Just got email for all hands meeting this Thursday. Looks like they will make the announcement
The 10/31 date applies to US based employees after their 1 year anniversary working for HCL.
Does anyone know if they are sending all the emails out this week? Or only waive 1 folks with the 10/31 date?
We are hearing letters coming out this week in email with last day of work 10/31 (60 day notice) for some. Others may have until the end of the year or a few months into next year, but all ex-VZ will be gone by 4/1/25.
Fmla doesn't pay you. You mean pto?
Stick a fork in me I am done. HCL's lack of communication with everything. Thought last week was notification time now hearing emails this week. Meanwhile I hear this group is told they are staying while hearing some supervisors were already notified. I do think they want us to quite. Maybe I should go out on FMLA until I hear something.
It really depends on whether you have to / want to take the severance package. The way employees are treated, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them would rather do without it voluntarily. The HCL mobbing is slowly starting. I am worried about what is happening. And don't forget, managers are not safe either. In the end, it will get everyone. Except for some US teams that pull their unfair strings in the background. Even they are now acting against the EMEA people. The battle is on. Even the GARM argument only applies to the US. Fairness was yesterday.
I agree with the last two posts. The communication at this company has been horrific with the latest being how the raise back pay will be paid. The environment has been rapidly growing more toxic with it boarding on being a Hostile Work Environment and Workplace Bullying. Their goal is to have us quit, so a severance will not have to be paid, and backfill us with their workforce which I have seen happen several times. It is sad, 44 days ago they officially put the target on us, and we are STILL waiting for the other shoe to drop. The stress put on coworkers and me is 100% HCL imposed. What they are doing does not officially meet the requirements of a Hostile Work Environment and Workplace Bullying but I think we should all file a complaint with the EEOC and our State Workforce Commission because what they are doing is wrong and they do not care. In today's economy, I get the need for layoffs, but they dangle it like a wiping stick. Since my hamster wheel is in the shop this weekend, I will start working on my complaint documentation of their threat of layoffs hanging over our heads and include how they (HR) have talked down to us and argued with peers on All Team calls several times, won’t follow up on issues even when they ask for us to bring them to them, their inability to get the paycheck correct, and there are more personal items. The pay issues will also be sent to the Department of Labor as they consistently break the Fair Labor Standards Act by not paying my OT and requiring me to work more than 40 hours while questioning me about the OT at the same time.
I should also reach out to my Federal and State Congressional Representatives to let them know how this Indian-based company has been treating hard-working US people. He-l, it is election time, they can get on their soapbox for us.
Sorry for the rant but I am tired of being treated this way. Verizon was not perfect, but HCL never lived up to 100% of what was promised, and they are just a horrible company that does not give a Sh-t about us.
I appreciate all your posts because unfortunately, our gossip is the only information we get. Enjoy your weekend all and maybe sometime soon they will tell us something, anything.....
Expect to hear nothing, what on earth has given you the idea that all of a sudden this company will start communicating? Why would they do something they say they are going to do when they say they will do it? It's out of character for them.
Relax, go enjoy the weekend an come back next week, get in your hamster wheel and run to nowhere.
Email is quiet today
I hope nobody is so anxious that they jump without the severance. This long goodbye is painful, but it'll make next year more painful letting them get away without fulfilling those payout promises imho.
I can only hope, it time to abandon our sinking ship.
I have heard from HCL core employees that this is what they do. Rebadge, observe, lay off, take over. We all know they are not ready, but they don’t care. Deadlines must be met regardless of preparation. The HCL way.
So will it be a broad announcement tomorrow or will we know our actual individual fate. If we dont know tomorrow su-ks we have to wait on pins and needles to see if we get a letter next week. Then waive 2 and so on will have to wait for their letters 60 days prior to there date. This is not a good employee environment right now.
It’s almost over folks. If you are not ready to retire and need a job, you should be looking now. This was a one year deal at HCL. Some people may survive into next Spring max, but most will be gone by the end of this year. HCL cannot make money paying our large US salaries.
They will announce that our 60 day notice letters are going out next week for wave 1 who will be off payroll 10/31.
