Thread regarding Snowflake layoffs

Honeymoon period over

Seems like the glitter has dulled, and the initial euphoria is fading. The reality of Apache Iceberg and Delta Lake are headwinds. Folks in Sales, especially senior SE's who have challenging accounts are feeling the pain.

Can anyone share any insight into the culture in the marketing org?

I resigned today. Could not handle my toxic team.

The company is currently experiencing growing pains. While promoting a positive culture was once a priority, it seems that teams are now focused more on outcomes, sometimes at the expense of how those outcomes are achieved. At a macro level, GTM is drinking the same Kool-aid from 6 years ago when snowflake was considered disruptive. Today, I am out, since working here is just not what it used to be.

Could you please elaborate? Curious to know more about the culture and where the company is heading as I am a new joiner

Guess you can fool the employees and investors, but you can't fool the market. Who's here after the buzzcut today?
