If you work at Truist you are automatically a target. That's just a fact. And if you are unlucky to make more money than other people on your team, you're as good as gone come the next round of layoffs.

Other banks offer permanent employment for life I would find a job at one of those banks so you can have a job for life and have a safe space to not work
But...but....but we have a golf tornament now. Surely that $200 mil is going to a worthy cause and the dismissed and/or sold as Accenture or Cisco slaves can take solace in that their sacrifices all made this possible as well as the stock buybacks.
I am so proud to be an ex-Truist employee.... all these accomplishments that my departure helped make possible are making me see this as all worthwhile. The only thing left to accomplish is to have all C level execs get their maximum variable pay and incentives. Then all the sacrifices made will make this all worthwhile.
When in doubt, just remember the unpublished part of the mission statement that states the needs of the few far outweigh the needs of the many.
Fact is we have dropped from about 60,000 people to under 40,000 so Bill and the a**holes at the top can rake in the dough.
