Thread regarding Pioneer Natural Resources Co. layoffs

Any news about LR?

Or it’s going to be in small batches for at least another six months? I wish they do it in one go, otherwise it will be he-l going every day to work and reasonably expect it’s your last.

A career in the oil industry has been a bo-m-and-bust business since the late 1950s. You cannot take it personal it is the nature of the business. When oil was around 100 dollars a BBL the companies could not hire fast enough. When oil headed south, they could not get rid of people fast enough. This bo-m and bust is only aggravated when companies decide to increase reserves not by the bit but by M&A. Acquisitions are brutal on the careers and brutal on the family and brutal on your wellbeing. Pioneer has an incredible run of successes and learned how to manage the bo-m and the bust cycles. The vaccine is to control your own future, safe 20-25% of your paycheck, network like there is no tomorrow, constantly update your resume. I should know I am 3rd generation oil, my two sons want nothing to do with the oil business

Hahaha Xom HR coming here to say anything. Hard enough to get them to talk when they are supposed to. Again no layoffs. Pip in batches on redundant work. Plus some one has to pay for all the contracting Pioneer is doing. Get the popcorn this dysfunctional show is only at the opening credits.
