So looks like the NY Times is doing its own research on UHGand Optum. They are looking for current or past employees and patients of their businesses. Should be an interesting read if everyone speaks up about their experience.

Nothing will happen. It will be standard dog and pony show. Too many elites are heavily invested in the process. Maybe the the ole called before congress theatrics. Then the most that will be happen is a fine with no admission of guilt. Cost of doing business and they will get a tax benefit from the fine. Business resumes like nothing ever happened
You might not be trying to take down the company but I am! I took photos on my phone of emails and saved everything. Lol
They should pull all the emails from managers and directors at home and community fighting with NaviHealth over SNF auths. Tons of denials due to that algorithm with the irony that home and community has its own skilling form
Coding that’s a tough one as providers should believe what they document
They definitely make my team feel forced and pressured to document key terms
They are looking for specifics on upcoding patient diagnoses to increase revenue and also any evidence of offshoring patient records. I provided what I know - it was easy enough to give them my high level knowledge, but they need actual evidence this is “really” happening. I’m not trying to take down the company but I do believe they need to be held to account. It’s infuriating that they continue to operate outside of legal boundaries with no repercussions
Rat them out!
Write your congres person to create laws that jobs related to government funds need to stay in the US
Optum is actually hurting America and our Healthcare. They are this most dangerous entity we face .
Their shady practices around data mining . RAF documentation, and non care providers primarily used to improve those without significant care make them look successful and people assume it’s good management it’s just bilking CMS due to the loop holes. They don’t deliver better care than other health plans .
Second issue is they shrink healthcare’s footprint , the buy businesses then chew them up and sp-t out what they don’t want. The result means that every time the acquire a program the actual patients cared for goes down over time not up all in the name of profit
They also focus providers in no clinical care roles like housecalls removing providers from patient care roles for profit.
This is just the tip of the iceberg.
They keep growing and buying things creating a large enough pseudo monopoly that they won’t fairly negotiate with hospital and clinics as they can levearage them out. Again the bottom line is less funds and care to Members more profit to United healthcare and optum . We should prefer that money go to clinics and hospitals to pay staff who take care of us
There should be a profit cap in insurance
There should be a forced use of us employees to collect us government funds like Medicare and Medicaid
There should be penalties at least 3 xs higher than the money gained each time they do something illegal for profit
They layoff medical staff think how crazy that is in a world of shortage
Also check out the work that Adam Stone has done for The Examiner News. Great articles, focused mostly on TriState
What I like is when the manager talks about integrity and honesty, transparency etc. These people would have to look up the meaning of those words in a dictionary.
WSJ and now NYT :)

What sub in Reddit can I find this?
They can go to Reddit and read all about what employees and consumers write. They get a real eye opening.
