Operations manager is an entry level job you can apply for.
“It’s so easy, a caveman can do it.”
what entry level job would pay me over $100k at Amazon?
It might look big on paper, but it doesn't last that long with PIP, silent layoffs, and falling stock price.
How are you all making so much?
With bonuses and extras, $190K.
If you’re in the right role, you can definitely be a Lamborghini owner. The peeps with $500k+ total comp are here because they’re more likely to get laid off.
How many people on here have a Lambo? And why would they be on here?
I have a Lamborghini
Actually, most aren't getting RSU's and pay raises - including high performers those at early senior levels and above. Practically no one gets bonuses unless it was a signing bonus. This is actually a top-down decision regardless of dept.
With such a poorly performing stock over the past 5 years under Jassy, what other choice do they have but to steal from high performers, give to low performers, right? And too many dead weight Managers - needs another massive layoff or two to flatten.
Many are getting RSUs, bonuses and pay raises. Depends on the dept and revenue stream for that product.
A lot it is stolen at upper level and leftover bread crumbs for the rest at bottom.
Manager, with good communication & motivational, leadership skills, and team members are more important than Joining a group with dead weight manager and stupid team members.
What's a stable "permanent" job? Actually, there should be pay raises, RSUs etc - once all the FAT gets trimmed. So many useless managers, hierarchies, incompetent ICs. And most of the S-Team needs replacing too. New polices, no RTO bs, no on call. Lots of competition for sure, so what are you waiting for?
Be happy if you have stable job. New grads and engineers with 5 years of experience were paid a lot like 15-20 years of experience like tech leads. Those days are gone !
Hence no pay raise, no RSUs and so on. Microsoft and other companies are getting better in cloud. A lot of competition out there !
Earned a lot when stock was raising
A lot less than Matt Garmin.
A lot less when the stock price goes down and there aren't any refreshers, performance bonuses, raises, zero grants. How's that for incentives?
