What are you a f-cking i-diot ? Do you really think this company or any company cares about you? It is clueless employees like you that are the reason Intel is failing. Go collect welfare that is more inline with your skills.
You can chance it. Don't take the package, continue to work in this company that will go through layoffs or "corporate people movement" every few months. The risk you're taking is, will this package be there next time?

Fu---d up company. Just leave man. As soon as I turned 55 YO and six months before rule of 75, I received a 1:1 meeting notice with my manager to be informed that I was being ISP'ed. This is what Intel does to you if you stick around. Move before that. I count my blessing every day I am not there.
Why would it matter? It will be another piece of bs they will change again in a couple of months after a few more f-ups.
