The first one should go in SMG is Christoph! He bring nothing but losing customers.
Payback for what? Having a stale uncompetitive production process and no innovation in designs? Mad side projects that cost a huge amount of money? Sorry, but SMG is the least of the problems...

Totally fair. If you cannot sell, you should leave. SMG folks have been treated as demigods at Intel for quite sometime now. It's payback time.
If that loser Christoph isn't part of that 35% getting axed, then Pat and the entire board should be frog-marched to jail for dereliction of duty.
I doubt they will cut 4300 of SMG out of 12000.
They'll probably still get a cruise as a reward for cutting costs

This is happening more like material sourcing , where Asia is low cost to source most products
Now labor is also low cost and companies are switching to low cost labor
Hopefully they will include Mr. "Stay In Your Lane".
