Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

What is BC standard package ?

These questions have been asked many times, but never has someone addressed exactly what it is. I see some responses saying the BC package is worse compared to VMW, it is bad, etc. Currently, VMW's is 2 months plus 1 Week per year. What is it at BC in the same term?

I was let go in a force reduction. It was 60 days WARN and two weeks per year of service with a minimum of 8 weeks. With an $1000 re-training fund.

2 months salary plus OTE, 2 months severance plus 1 week per year worked. Also RSUs that mature during the 2 months.

I believe it’s the following

  • One week salary for each year worked
  • cash for remaining leaves
  • two months salary if more than 50 layoffs in that location (California WARN requirement)
  • 3 months health coverage by Cobra

You pay Hock one month salary for each year worked.
