After trying for transparency, it’s become apparent how secretive salaries are here. A few years ago I challenged our HR to publish a male vs. female wage study and the response was: no. Followed by 10 reasons why they can’t, none of which were valid if they truly valued transparency. I am certain there is a considerable wage gap in Canada. Talk about your salaries and raise the point - only the company benefits from our silence. If I’m wrong, they should be able to prove it.

I second the "outlier". I've heard from those searching for new opportunities that the compensation for a similar position is lower than what they were making at TU.
Maybe I am an outlier but I have to be honest. TU did me very well financially. I was let go earlier this year and my new job's salary is $10k under what TU paid me annually
Left TU earlier this year and got a 50% raise on base comp. Always knew TU was underpaying me, but I still stuck around because of my awesome manager, friendly colleagues, and healthy work-culture.
What broke the camel’s back was the leadership team playing Russian Roulette with all employees. Not knowing if I’ll have a job next month caused way too much stress and anxiety to be able to continue.
Despite knowing that my salary was not up to the market rate. I remained dedicated to my job because I had a good manager and benefits were great. However as layoffs continued, and it was very difficult to manage the team and it was difficult to face the team not knowing if their name or my name is next to the list. I found a new job with a higher salary, the bonus and pension adds up to 15%. Way better than the 2% TU was offering
I left TU and now make 70% more with an insane lift in variable comp. definitely agree that we should interview periodically to understand the market and our worth in it.
None of your business!
They pay me less than what unemployed dr-g addicts in my neighbourhood get from social security for free
I left TU earlier in the year after a few Interviews it became very apparent the salaries at TU were nowhere near what other companies were paying. I got close to 60% raise in my new role. At most of the companies I was applying at I was seeing at least 30% raise.
Hey, at least we ain't making minimum wage!
The "wage gap" is complete nonsense. There is no "wage gap", only an earnings gap. But in STEM, lots of females are actually doing better than males (particularly those starting out in the field) due to DEI pushes and other nonsensical pet projects. Enjoy it while it lasts. Times will be getting lean in the near future and businesses will be forced to operate responsibly again, which means no more throwing funds after policies and practices which don't provide any net benefit to the bottom line.
Yes you legal scholar! You and Only You are correct as to why any organization wouldn't be able to post what you are asking for!
