Soooo … just read that while Shell is laying off workers they are donating to 2025 “charities”. That’s what we’re prioritizing over jobs? Even if I keep my job, the anxiety so many of us are feeling is off the charts. How do we find the money for extreme political “charities” but not for employees?

Did anyone actually read the article? If you’re in the U.S. and give money to a registered 501c3, Shell Foundation will match your funds. So any Shell employee can give to whatever church, charity, NPR, or right wing nut job non-profit and apply for a match through the hero portal. If the org is in good standing with the IRS, the foundation will match it.
Shell USA as a company is not giving money to the orgs listed in the article. That said, Shell foundation may want to rethink the guidelines for which organizations they’ll match funds for.
lol. good to see the conspiracy dimwits are alive and well in Shell
Good to see the company cleansing itself of ‘purpose without profits’.
That makes no sense ("donating to Project 2025 programs"). Project 2025 is more of a philosophy and political movement for 2025; nobody is really in charge of it yet. To whom or where would Shell "donate"? Buying stock in the DJT sham company and hoping trump is re-elected? Makes no sense, sounds like fake news being revved up by some XOM or BP people.
Shell is supposedly donating to some of the Project 2025 anti climate change programs. No one wants to be associated with Project 2025. It’s some real dystopian stuff.
What extreme political charities are you talking about?
Shell always has charitable matches.
Shell has layoffs every 4-6 years.
What is causing this particular freak-out?
And we’re not even a US company. Like what????
