@1ier+1u2rgtWp Well that’s a load of cr@p as managers were not told until after the focal tool closed how the stock level would be used. Many of us were very pi$&ed off about it too.

A perfect example of this is the "Stock Share" B.S they pulled back in 2014/2015.
Managers decided who they wanted to get rid of, then gave them a lower stock share than they deserved. Magically, and for the first time in Intel history, your stock share became the ONLY metric used to gauge performance. As an added bonus, the folks they fired were also deemed "ineligible for rehire". Nice little kick in the nuts after 20-30 years of service....

The same tactic was applied the following year to weed out additional undesirables (people who weren't afraid to ask REAL questions during B.U.M's)

I tried questioning a few project decisions of my previous manager during a wider team meeting. Got "behaviour issues" on my insight feedback.

We are now a nation where half the people grew up with everyone getting participation awards rather than having winners and losers. It’s no wonder that so many people can’t handle the real world.

This nation has no backbone anymore. Gotta be nice to everyone all the time. Can't hurt feelings.

This is exactly how folks learn the important lessons in life and grow.

Ageism and cost cutting in the more expensive campuses is alive and well. That should be included in this article. And for those that think -- sure, get rid of the older workers -- remember when you're 46, 51, or 58 or older, you too will be a target. Me thinks you'll feel differently. Are your parents worthless employees?
