I haven't heard anyone getting notified in SD, yet alone 2 days before AH which is unheard of. All the rumors must be ex-QCOMers still wishing they can rest-n-vest....LOL!!!!

Q needs to cut all internally promoted vp and directors. Q can’t afford to have internally promoted vp, that would make the corruption of the company faster, one example is gsoc pp, wpw, sd, ks, all these ppl should not be promoted.
Layoffs in q is just a matter of time.
Our BU said money in lower than expected. If things do not improve there will be layoffs but my impression is that layoffs might come next year for our BU
Our BU VP said that opex expenditure is too high. So need to save money, weather it is less licenses, less contractors or less headcount if there's nothing else to do.

No layoffs -- it is all rumor.
If it happens today then that is a possibility ahead of the AH plus the 6 weeks of severance will end in the FY. If not today then maybe in Oct. Hope none of this is true.
