Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Even less communication and leadership before being let go?

Question for those who have been let go… was communication on your team more scarce than usual before the layoff happened? Its never been a strong suit of my current manager and lately he’s really dropping the ball on everything. We think there is something going on behind the scenes that he can’t tell us. Or its possible he’s just mentally checked out already.

Most leaders had no idea about the layoffs- and especially had no idea about WHO was being laid off until they were given their list of who would be laid off under them.

The messaging regarding these most recent layoffs was very vague and didn’t point to any reason in particular.

My guess is that ADP lost some very large revenue clients at the end of the fiscal year (I personally worked with TWO clients that had a combined revenue amount over 20million alone- 20mill, divided by 200 = 100k).

I also know of a sales DM who had been with ADP almost 28 years that was recently let go- which is absolutely insane.

Something bigger is happening behind the scenes, and it’s terrifying.

I had been promised a promotion the last 2 promotion periods. Spring didn’t happen because all promotions were frozen (except manager to sr manager promotions), and then this current round, I was told that my promotion wasn’t going to happen because of an administrative error.
