The dollars are skimmed and reinvested by the elites. No need to worry too much about earnings and profit. One trillion every year in trade surplus needs to be reinvested somewhere. As long as they can retain some of it without losing too much principal then all is good. Slowly everyone will work for the Chinese.
In 2-3 years there will be another acquisition and the cycle will continue until Hock is 6ft under.

Lack of tribal knowledge? There is lot of that in VMware. Nothing is documented anywhere. The leaders have no clue. Things are expected to break. Who cares about customers? If they can't move off of legacy tech for decades then they deserve the hock treatment? Who cares? Everyone is now living day to day.
