At this critical challenging time, let's come together to treat this company as family (of course, whoever survives). Turn away from their products if you are affected by the layoff. Simple thing you can do to boot your mood.
Corporations are not people and they are not families. They will jettison divisions, workforce, and anything and everything that will make the shareholders happy. Isn't that one of the Blue Badge values? Corporations are ruthless and they will safeguard themselves and the investors are vultures who will pounce on the last ounce of flesh. So, sing all the slogans you want, the merry-go-round will throw a lot of people out on the wayside mercilessly. The CEOs and HR will summon the sermon. But don't be fooled by them.
