Regional wealth cuts and consolidation to Charlotte brewing. Bye SC, Western NC wealth teams! Get as many purpose points as you can before you go!

@7wer+1u29uasb Seems like a lot of Divine European Inheritance being touted around here in reaction to the most meager, milquetoast, and perfunctory of diversity measures.
I'm very, very white, my grandfather looks exactly like Reinhard Heydrich...southern whites are lazy af. So when I moved south it became immediately obvious that the trope about lazy people of color was some hypocritical bs by your forefathers/foreuncles. So all this "I'm being persecuted" from you people is laughable.
Lincoln messed up by not treating you all like enemy combatants in the aftermath of squashing your "just cause." It should have been a permanent reckoning, instead here we are - Lincoln's party is the future of the grotesque joke that is white supremacy.
yeah, more regional wealth cuts are coming. It will go down like the mortgage group. Get the regional directors to fire the staff and then at the end of the day they will be fired as well. I still am shocked by all that....
DUI means diversity, unequal inclusion for those that dont know. Ive also seen diversity, unbalanced inclusion. DWI is diversity, white males wont be, included
I too think drunk driving should be stopped
DEI/DUI isnt the reason for cuts. Its the bad management that seems to think selling great subsidiaries and reinvesting those proceeds into a failing bank is a good idea.....doubling down on d-mb...
Plus a lot of the regional wealth directors in the southeast would be better suited to be the Chuck E Cheese dancing mouse than be in the wealth group. Very unimpressive IMO
I remember when I was working in Charlotte and Suntrust consolidated Frank O Brien's position up here and cut the entire wealth team in SC. I wouldn't be surpised by that happening again, but its a terrible business model. That hasnt stopped this mgmt squad in the past though. No job security for regional folks at Truist. They like the Big Cities.
Interestingly, I remember one message I heard over and over from both SunTrust and BB&T Wealth employees. Ralph was in trouble from day one because he knew the business, had vision, and valued employee input. Joe Thompson only wants pure order-takers, as those with knowledge and ability highlight how incompetent he really is.
Typical DUI nonsense
Cuts? this affects like a dozen people, no one gives a sh-t
RB’s problem at Truist was his character. He is honest, sincere, humble, intentional, forward-thinking, and genuinely wants the best for people. He could laugh at himself and wasn’t afraid to be wrong.
Joe Thompson must have set a record for the most damage done in the shortest amount of time. Some of the stories out of Wealth, both from the STI and BBT side, regarding Joe and his ineptness are hilarious. I didn’t know RB well, but from a performance perspective he seemed to be growing Wealth at BBT. Never could get a bead on RH.
Brokered trust > sell wealth would be the wfc model
RB never had a chance with JT; they were oil and water. RH presided over the resignations of 4 of his 8 Florida regional managers (and two others got RIF’d), and the exodus of dozens of advisors and billions of assets/millions of revenue. Georgia private wealth leader is gone and now Directors for the whole footprint? BD and JD will follow a wells-based model and blend private banking and trust into brokerage “offerings”. Wouldn’t be surprised if Genspring is gone in a year, just like Abbott Downing. Our new purple Cadillac is now a brown ‘72 Pinto with an orange door, bald tires, and a bungee cord holding down the trunk lid.
Wealth already down to 2 Directors in NC. Saw it coming 3 years ago. Now Group Directors down to 2 as well. Ray Hand was on the chopping block as soon as they axed Borrello. Any legacy BB&T leadership is toast.
