You think the ones posting here are the ones with labor laws like that? Most of the reason this site exists is so Americans anxious about getting totally hosed can overthink when they should apply elsewhere. Yeah, it’s bp will deviate from historic bp practice but who’s to say they won’t actually follow through on one thing they said in reinvent (last time for those type of packages)
If they eliminate your role, they have no option but to pay you a redundancy/severance. In the UK this is at least 3 weeks of base pay for every full year of service with a maximum payment of 2 years equivalent + any unvested share awards at pro rata basis....
Ignore the rumours, I bet you the LT does not even know all the answers....
Technology can hear anything unless it comes to them written on a ticket and only then after it sits in an inbox for six weeks.
BP Technology…..we bring you yesterday’s technology, tomorrow…..or maybe next month…..or maybe not, but hey we are trying…….
Might mean the functions will go after the business I know Technology is hearing our reorg/downsize won't happen until January.
Oh they’ll force people to leave and give them packages. Then three years later they’ll rehire for most of the roles they eliminated. Every time we do this we say “it’s different this time,” but the truth is we have no discipline. Not the smartest way to run a business. That’s the roller coaster of bp.
They haven’t changed anything. Don’t listen to this bozo.
My ARC contact whose job is transitioning to Budapest got the “standard” package. Great little retirement bump for him.
They give something, but it won’t be like during reinvent
